What if something goes wrong with my payment?

If you have questions about the event, you can send an email to info@proximuscyclingchallenge.be

If you have questions about your E-ticket or if something went wrong with your payment: go to http://app.mijnevent.be/nl/contact/phphttp://app.mijnevent.be/nl/contact/php

How many people can I enter at once?

Normally only one person can be registered per email address. More information about the possibility to subscribe a whole group of people will follow.

What should I bring with me to the registrations?

If you have registered on our website beforehand:
- The E-ticket that you received in your mailbox right after subscribing. You can show the printed version of this ticket or the version on your smartphone to our contributors.

If you want to register on site:
- Your Membership Card of Cycling Vlaanderen or VWB - 10 euros or 12 euros

On site you can pay by cash or through the Payconic-app. It is NOT possible to pay with Bancontact.

What happens in the event of an accident?

Your insurance premium is included in your registration fee.

If you are a member of Cycling Vlaanderen, please consult their website (http://recreatie.dewielerbond.be/Producten/Verzekering.aspx?Disc=21&Disc2=24)

If you are a member of Vlaamse Wielrijdersbond, please consult their website: (https://www.vwb.be/page/view/58/Verzekering)

Even if you are not a member of Cycling Vlaanderen or Vlaamse Wielrijdersbond, you are still insured. To benefit from this insurance, you must fill in a day form when registering on site.

Please enter your details legibly and in full. If the information is incomplete or inaccurate, you will not qualify for the WBV or VWB “sports accident” insurance or any other type of insurance.

For info: It is compulsory to wear a helmet!

What do I do when I have mechanical problems?

You are automatically insured against injury at registration. Mechanical damage is not assured, however. Refunds in case of mechanical damage will not be compensated.

If you encounter trouble on the road and there is irreparable damage to your bicycle, you can always call one of the two emergency numbers that are listed on your wristband, which you will be given at the start. Our breakdown service will come and pick you up as soon as possible and will take you to the nearest supply station (where mechanical assistance will be provided by Shimano), or to the starting site of the event.

Until when can I register?

Registration in advance for the cycling race concerned at a more inexpensive rate is possible until 23H59 on Friday. With our new and simplified registration system, we hope to be of an even better service to our participants. We would therefore also like to encourage pre-registration immensely. As a result, we are giving a nice discount to all participants who register in advance. Online registration will also still be possible afterwards, but at the daily rate of € 10 or € 12 Euros.

Registration on the day itself will also be possible, but for that you will pay a small additional fee. If you are a member of Cycling Vlaanderen or VWB, then you just go to the registration counters of Cycling Vlaanderen/VWB on the day itself. If you are not a member, you can register easily on the spot on one of our brand new iPads. You must fill out all the information on the digital registration form. These are necessary for your insurance during our races. After you have entered all the information, you can sign up at the ‘day registration’ counter.

How does the Printsta hashtagprinter work?

Because of the limited success last year, the Live Facebook activation will take a backseat in 2017. But, we will be quite active in the social media in the new season and we have found a very nice alternative. Under the motto ‘What you do yourself, you do better, we have chosen to work with the innovative Printsta.

At the starting point, during the itinerary, at the refreshment stations or at the arrival: there is always time for a nice picture anywhere. So, have your Smartphone ready during the cycling race in which you participate: take a nice selfie; a photo with your friends or with your team mates and post it on your profile via Twitter or Instagram with the correct hashtag #dichtbijdekoers.

Thanks to the hashtag printer, you can pick up the printed photo, which you have taken at the start, on the road or at the finish, after the race at the Printsta stand. You will thus go home with a huge nice gadget and a great reminder of a fantastic race.

! Take note: When you take your photo on the road and you post it on one of your social medias, your profile should be visible publicly. This way the hashtag printer can print your photo and you can come pick it up after the race. Your visibility can be activated and deactivated with one simple button in the options section. !

Can I rent a bicycle onsite?

Renting a bicycle at the starting site is not possible. The best option, when you are not in possession of a bicycle, or if you cannot get to the starting site by bicycle, is to do a search online in order to see where you can rent a bicycle/electric bicycle near the relevant cycling race. Due to the excellent accessibility of all our races, there are always specialized stores in the area that rent out bicycles.

Can I then still get onto the starting site afterwards?

Not only the pleasure of cycling is focused on at the Proximus Cycling Challenge, but also the experience is very important. It is also important to strengthen the inner man after a race that is full of physical exertion. That is why we provide the necessary drinking and eating possibilities at the starting site after the race. We provide a nice atmosphere and ambiance; we have the Proximus Bike Wash at ten of the fifteen races and we provide a nice memory with the Printsta Hashtag printer.

The following are foreseen at the arrival:

  • Drinking and eating possibilities
  • Changing and shower possibilities
  • Printsta Hashtag printer at all of our races
  • Proximus Bike Wash
Can I download the route in gpx-file?

Comparing to last year, in 2017 we offer the gpx-files to all preregistered participants for free. These files will always be available the week before the cyclo you are planning to participate in and you can find them under ‘Downloads’. On the route map of Route You a link will also appear one day in advance, through which you can download the files.
