Because of the limited success last year, the Live Facebook activation will take a backseat in 2017. But, we will be quite active in the social media in the new season and we have found a very nice alternative. Under the motto ‘What you do yourself, you do better, we have chosen to work with the innovative Printsta [link].
At the starting point, during the itinerary, at the refreshment stations or at the arrival: there is always time for a nice picture anywhere. So, have your Smartphone ready during the cycling race in which you participate: take a nice selfie; a photo with your friends or with your team mates and post it on your profile via Twitter or Instagram with the correct hashtag #dichtbijdekoers.
Thanks to the hashtag printer, you can pick up the printed photo, which you have taken at the start, on the road or at the finish, after the race at the Printsta stand. You will thus go home with a huge nice gadget and a great reminder of a fantastic race.
! Take note: When you take your photo on the road and you post it on one of your social medias, your profile should be visible publicly. This way the hashtag printer can print your photo and you can come pick it up after the race. Your visibility can be activated and deactivated with one simple button in the options section.
Our in-house photographer: For our participants who are less engaged in social media or who are not on Twitter/Instagram, we obviously have a great alternative. Our in-house photographer, Digitalclickx, will be present once again in 2017 to immortalise the participants on the road on film.
He will look for the nicest spots to photograph the participants along the itinerary. These photos will be published a few days after the cycling race concerned on the website under the tab ‘media’.
Cycling through all weathers and still go home with a clean bicycle? This is totally possible! You can leave the bucket and the sponge standing neatly in the cupboard the following day, because after the huge success, the Proximus Bike Wash will also be present on as many as ten of the fifteen races in 2017.
The Proximus Bike Wash and our Proximus employees will be waiting for you at the following Challenges with gadgets for everyone.
We will also monitor the performance of our participants closely this season. One time registration will take place at seven of the fifteen rounds of the Proximus Cycling Challenge on the most iconic slopes of the rolling hills of Flanders.
At the start of these seven cycling races, you will receive an identification tag from our staff at the registration counters that you need to attach to your bicycle. With this number on the identification tag, you can control the subsequent day via this [link] website how long it took you to conquer the ‘climb of the day’."
Your time will be recorded by MySports at the following locations:
The total number of participants of the Proximus Cycling Challenge continues to rise every year and we are very happy about that. This year, however, we will no longer opt for a regularity classification where only the most frequent participants are put in the spotlight, but we would like to thank everyone for their trust. For example, regular participants will receive a prize or a nice gadget after X number of participations.
Because there is no longer a live Facebook activation, the time registration will be dealt with in a different way and registration for enrolment will no longer be needed, the PCC card will no longer be used in 2017. You therefore do not need to bring your PCC membership card of last season to the starting point any more.
